The hole had to be dug wide enough and deep enough to hold plenty of water.
It is almost a big enough earth hole for the pondless water basin fountain.
The basin and pump is now installed, along with the base of the outdoor fountain.
Draped over the outdoor granite fountain is a rubber fabric.
The fabric was then spread out over the fountain area. Its purpose is to catch the overflowing water from the three-tiered outdoor granite estate fountain.
We used a lift to drop the first tier on to the fountain base.
The first tier has to be placed perfectly on top of the granite base.
This picture shows the assembled three tiers of the outdoor fountain. We turned the fountain on and left it running for a while. It needed to be tested to make sure the pondless basin returned the water correctly.
We then added stones to the fountain area.
We arrived for this installation in the morning and were finished by noon.
The hole for the pondless water basin
The bottom of the initial hole must be flat.
We selected a spot near the side of the building.
This is the pondless basin sitting in its hole.
It is easy to install the pondless water basin for use with a fountain.
This outdoor stone fountain will look great, and it will also look innovative without a pond.
We finished installing the basin and now here comes the outdoor fountain.
We put tarp on the edge of the basin to catch the water from a larger radius. The tarp will direct the water to the basin much like a roof does to gutters.
The electrical cord is hooked up to the house from the pondless basin
Now the main part of the fountain is on. We turned it on. See the basin on the bottom left corner?
